Lips Cafe, located in the heart of Brooklyn, had recently acquired outdoor space for dining due to the pandemic. The space was enclosed by plain, dull boxes which could be livened up with some signage and nature decorations. Locust Street Productions was approached to create a mural for the space.
Our team worked closely with the owners to create a design that would reflect the identity of Lips Cafe and attract customers. We painted their logo facing the street to give them extra visibility and used high contrasting colors of green on the red background to make the design pop.
At first, Lips Cafe was hesitant because they were getting all of their design printed, but they loved the end result. This was our first paid job together, and it was a great success, visible from anywhere on the street. The mural not only enhanced the look of Lips Cafe’s outdoor space but also caught the attention of neighboring businesses and led us to our next client, Platinum Shears.
